No the hosting service does not affect the search engines view of the site. As long as the SE spiders can access it via an IP address then that’s fine.
A dedicated address does not help either as far as the SEs are concerned but there are other good reasons for having a dedicated IP.

1) If you’re using an @yahoo.com email address you simply can’t transfer that to GoDaddy. If you are hosting your own domain through Yahoo currently and are going to move to GoDaddy, then see #2
2) Switching hosts will mean needing to update your DNS which can take some times – few hours to a day? While the changes are propagating some requests for yourdomain.com will be sent to yahoo’s servers with others will go to GoDaddy.

In the game that I am making (using Visual C++) the main character’s primary objective is to collect objects, or activate events that give him objects. The objects in question will be music, and when that song is collected, it will be available to play in the background. I know games have done this kind of thing before.
