I Have A Site Off Of Godaddy And I Am Having Trouble With Templates…help?

i am tryin to apply a template to my wedsite that i got from a different site and it is not workin…i paste the code into the Advanced Style Options and all it does is change the background color…can some one tell me what i am doin wrong? Please and Thank you

    i am a web designer but it is so hard to answer questions as yours i answered a lot but you need to put the code here so people or answerer can see what you did wrong.

    Download your site to your computer and work on it there. When it’s the way you like it, upload it back. Using a web page builder is like nuking a frozen gourmet dinner – the results are less than satisfying.
