I Have A Godaddy Domain And It Has Ad’s On The Top Is That Normal ?

since i paid like 8 or 9 bucks for my own name
and i uploaded my INDEX.HTML page and my contents are shown on my page but with some ad’s on the top
is that part of the godaddy thing?
or can i remove them ? or something?
couldn’t i at least move them to the bottom ?

    If ‘GoDaddy’ is a *free* webhosting service then ads are the usual thing you’ll have to put up with. There’s no way to get rid of them.
    I assume that the 8 or 9 dollars you spent for your own name is actually your own *domain* name, like http://www.mywebsite.com There are plenty of other free webhosts that will allow you to select your own sub-domain for free. Try http://netfirms.com I’ve used them and even though they stick ads at the top of your webpages, they offer a very good service.

    It sounds like you registered the domain name (so you own that) but that the domain is simply “parked” at Go Daddy. In that case, yes they can have their own ads wherever on the page. You would have to purchase a web hosting account in order to have full control over your pages and what shows there.
