I Have A Domain Name, Is There Some Place I Can Get Free Hosting???? That Will Work With Godaddy?
I already am paying for the site and now I have to pay for hosting???? My site is going to be sooo small anyways just like a photo portfolio…….so I was curious if there was some free web hosting place that I can use with my godaddy domain?

Free hosting sites do not allow use of a personal domain name unless you upgrade to a paid hosting package. You could have gotten a free domain name at InMotion.com with paid hosting “forever”.

You can try free web hosting service and use their sub-dominas for testing purposes. Some site would provide free hosting if u are comfortable with their ads, some would provide very basic free web space usually for a limited period of time.
If you are looking for a free for life web host, you can try http://www.icure.co.in. You get lifetime free hosting, no ads, frontpage support, a SUB-DOMAIN, PHP, MySQL, and other webmaster tools for no cost at all.
If u want some more webspace, bandwidth, phpBB etc. you can upgrade to their plans. They are not the cheapest of hosts but quite reliable on their claims i.e. 99.8% uptime, just very excellent customer support, industry standard security and no ads for providing free web-space.
Apart from that you can try wetpaint.com etc but most would place ads for providing free-space. For blogging word-press, blogger are the best.

If your current internet provider is Earthlink, AOL, SBC Global and others which provide a homepage; you can easily FTP your own webpage designs as a new homepage. And using a redirection service such as mydomain.com or the forwarding of a parked domain name at godaddy.com, you can easily “mask” the homepage URL with a proper domain name. So in a sense, you have a working ecommerce website disguised as a homepage while still paying your normal monthly Internet access and hosting fee.
